Donate food
Our foodbank relies on your goodwill and support.
If you have a special collection to donate, please contact our collection coordinator on 07443 846363 or email [email protected].
Over 90% of the food distributed by foodbanks in The Trussell Trust network is donated by the public – that’s why your food donations are absolutely vital to our ability to give everyone referred to us a balanced and nutritious three day supply of food.
Shopping list update January 2025
Our shopping list on this page shows the food items that we need right now. Thew list varies from time to time so please check back next as the situation changes quite quickly.
Please do not donate items containing alcohol. Also, please make sure the food is well before its use-by date. It takes time to process the donations and if the use-by date is soon it may be passed before we can get it out to a client. We cannot distribute out of date food, so please check the use by date on your donations.
You can download a one page version of the current shopping list by clicking here.
Please see the list below for our food collection point locations.
When dropping off your donation at a supermarket please make sure that it is marked clearly as being from you rather than the supermarket’s own customers purchasing from their store. This enables us to accurately account for the different types of donations. Put your donation is a separate, secured bag.

We always welcome donations and promise to use them to provide help to people in crisis. Occasionally we send food to other nearby foodbanks or charities to support their work particularly if they experience shortages. This ensures your donations go to help people in need in Newark, Tuxford and the surrounding area.
